Registration of the property

Dear Sir/ Madam, I have question on the residential property stamp duty & registration. One of my relative have made a WILL in my favour & bequeathed her residential property to me. I have done the probate procedure in the high court & got the WILL probated. As mentioned in the WILL & Based on the Probate the residential house has been transferred on my name by housing society. i have question here is do i need to go for the stamp duty & property registration process though it is not the case of property selling & buying? Please help me on my query... Thnx in advance..
