The caste certificate issued by a competent authority is always valid and can only be cancelled by a process after inquiry,  The applicant should only state those relevant facts and must act bonafide without misrepresentation. As the certificate was considered as valid as on date of the appointment letter, the employee can not be terminated on such grounds of validity.  However subject to validity, further promotions may take place.

  • If you want authentic clarification, file an RTI application to the concerned Central Ministry and can seek such information online with Rs.10 RTI Fee.

Information solicited:

1. Please provide the status of those that secured employment on the basis of certificates of SC/ST given by individual state on the basis of the amendment and when the Central Govt do not comply such amendment and when the Supreme Court quashes such notification issued by the state..

Dear Querist,

A certificate issued by legitimate authority can’t be questioned until and unless it has some discrepancies and fails the inquiry process. Persons having fake certificates would be denied from securing jobs meant for researched categories.

The persons who are already working and have their jobs will not be subjected to this as they are already employees and have a contract. The only thing that can happen is that the verification process of the certificates could take place again for authentication.

Regards,

Palak
