Which personal law applies in your case e.g; Hindu?

Who was 1st owner of the property in your ancestors say; your Maternal Grandfather?

Is he alive?

Is your mother alive?

On strength of which valid/registered .......document/deed the property is partitioned; say partition deed?

Is it registered?

What is date/month/year of death of owner; say Grandfather?

What is this property; urban, rural, agricultural?

The property is in which state?

You have not posted full information...

Generically speaking: The owner/parent can dispose his/her self acquired property in his/her lifetime by a valid/registered deed in anyone's favor.......................even stranger..........

Sons/daughters have NO forced share in self acquired property of parents..

equal share is compulsory for daughter, right ?
