For verification of date of birth you are required to submit a copy of the 10th  standard marks sheet alone.

You may enquire the details from the regional passport officer in furtherance

You need birth certificate /Adhaar for passport and educational qualification is for ECR and if you don' want to submit 10th or 12th class then you should submit higher education level certficate that is Graduation like you hae the BSc. certificate and that is much better . No need to submit 10th or 12th .

But for your future acadamics purposes you should correct the names in certificates that will be problem otherwise  for jobs

How marklists are relevant in applying for passport? as far as date of birth is concerned Bith Certificate is mandatory for those who have born after 1989 or so.
