MVAT on Embroidery saree

Whether Embroidered saree is subject to tax under Maharashtra Value Added Tax ?

Facts :

A dealer purchases plain saree. He get the same embroidered by the experts. The embroidery is made up of various embroidry materials such as Chumki, Nakashi, Badla, Zari and like materials. Sale of plain saree is exempt from tax under schedule A-41under the MVAT Act 2002 being fabric. Now the query is whehter the sale of saree duly embroidered is subject to tax ?

I have read your Question. Your question is very interesting. Answer of yopur question is. Fabric items are exempted from tax and it is tax free. but all others are taxable.
