My friend has filed for a mutual divorce in aug 2011. Till date she has no clueson the status and is wondering why its taking so long?
They have been living separately since 2011 aug. She left her kids with her husband. Please advise as she has plans of moving on in life but is held back due to this.

Did she appear in court after 6 months from the date of filing the mutual consent divorce? Ask her to talk to her lawyer.

the time period is 6 months to 18 months, its depend on the parties to prove before the court that there is no colusion between them.
