State Excise Multipurpose Co-operative Society Limited (established by group of state excise department employees) offered to its members sites in porposed layout for Rs.699/- per sqft in year 2013. The amount has to be paid in 4 equlament instalments. Members paid first and second instalments in 2013 and 2014, but as the project was delayed third instalment was paid in 2019. During 2019 society hiked the price to Rs.741/- though many members opposed. The society gave site allotment letters also to its members which says rate is Rs.741/-
Now the society is asking Rs.950/- per sqft and balance amount within 15 days or members has to apply for refund of amount paid without interest.
What legal action members can take, please advise.
