mistake in police verification form for govt.job

Sir one of my friend is working in psu.he is also completed his probotion period. At the time of joining he made minor mistake in filling the attestation form.he has no any crimal background.now he is worry .can it create any problem in promotion or in future.

In column no 9 of attestation by mistake he wrote wrong date of entry in college for b.sc.

You have not cleared that in rewpect of which column he stated what and what was actual tructh?

In column 9 by mistake he wrote year of admission 2008 but actually his admission year was 2009 and passing year was 2012.
