Llb grads can't join tn bar for now: hc

//In an interim judgment that is bound to have serious implications for graduates from law colleges in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, the Madras High Court (Madurai Bench) has restrained the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu (BCT) from enrolling them for practicing in the State. Besides, the court has directed the BCT to cancel enrollment of LLB graduates, who had obtained degrees in violation of Rule 28 of Legal Education.//

If CAs, CWAs, CSs, PhDs and few more high end professional degrees can be obtained through self-study and practical exposure, why not LLB? Since LLB can also be learned through self study and practical training at Senior's office (like CA), should we dispense with class room training for LLB? Only certain critical areas like Medicine and Engineering requires class room training. For others courses, class room training can be made optional.

Dear Hamilton Alexender, There is a valid reason in the order of Hon'ble Court that it has been brought to its notice that persons who have got degree after violating certain rule should be debarred from practice. What ought to have been done is a different thing altogether as the Hon'ble Court in its right earnest is bound to rule as per the rule of the law. Best regards Daksh
