I had rented a house in May 2010 and had stayed there till Sep 2013 (for 3+ years) and when i vacated the landlord had kept 7000 out of the 75000 rental deposit and told me that she will transfer the balance at a later date.
After 4 months and 4-5 calls and 3-4 messages her brother (as the landlord is in pune) with whom i had interacted is not picking up my calls lately
During my stay there was a damage to the main door lock (for which i told them to deduct some money) and couple of small wear and tear in bathrooms but the landlord now (after 15 years of constuction) has changed the bathrooms completely and the motor etc., (when i was there the motors - again due to their age was not pulling water and we had water-problems)
In one of the discussion the landlord's brother told me that they had to incur these losses after i had vacated but never ever told that they wont give the balance.
Is there anything that can be done?
