I have been staying in an apartment in Mumbai since last 2 years. I gave notice to my landlord in the month of May and requested her to come over for an inspection of the property.
She didn't show up instead sent her brother for the inspection of the property who didnot point out any damages in the said property.
Thereafter we vacated the apartment.
Now the landlady is deducting a huge portion of our deposit alleging damages in the said property.
She said she herself went for an inspection one week after we vacated the apartment.
She also charged 8000rs for maintenance of AC however no repair work is carried out by her.
What should be do now.
you can arrange to send a legal notice to landlady and get reply in writing.
