L&do substition and leasehold to free hold conversion - charges and procedure

How much does L&DO Charge for 1)  subsitution and 2)  freehold conversion from leasehold

What is the procedure.

Are there separate charges for the 1 and 2

As per DDA guidelines, a leasehold property in Delhi can be converted to freehold by paying a surcharge and conversion charges applicable on the date of application. For commercial property the charges are roughly over Rs 34,000 per sq m.

To convert a leasehold property into freehold the lessee has to acquire ownership of the property first. You need to possess important documents such as a search report, sale agreement, and sale deed. But if your property is on government leased land you need to seek permission from authorities.

Thank you so much for your reply. The property is registered with L&DO under my grandfathers name(deceased) . Court passed a decree in our favor. How do we get the peoperty in our name - is it mutation or substitution. What is the procedure, documents required and the time taken for this. Does L&DO convert the property from leasehold to free hold?
