interim alimony

wife filed for divorce under 13(ia) last year. I filed for RCR. Wife filed 498a after 1 year of filing divorce.

She has demanded 25,000 alimony/maintenance for herself and kid (under sec 24). she draws a salary of nearly 30,000 p.m. and I draw a salary of 60,000 p.m. I have been paying 3,000 for child (23 month old) maintenance  since 6 months.

Will the court grant her further maintenance eventhough she is employed?

If you are able to bring on record the earning status of the wife, in my opinion she is not entitled to maintaiance. However, you child is entitled to maintainance.

I am already paying for my child's maintenance. However she is demanding 12k per month for a 23 month old kid and 8k for herself. She is just uing the child to extract money. Will income other than salary be also concerned when deciding alimony. For e.g. income from flat rent
