India Mauritius DTAA

Would appreciate if anyone could help.

My query is whether law firms are covered under India Mauritius Double taxation avoidance agreement?

My Client a Mauritius law firm has charged service tax on for their services which was again taxed here in India,

Is there any provision under India-Mauritius DTAA which can benefit me?

Pls help and provide relevant provision.

Thanks

There is no exception - law firms are covered in the DTAA.  However, your question is not clear.  You have mentioned your client has charged service tax.  DTAA does not cover service tax.  Further how is that a client is charging you - is it not you charge tax on the client for the service rendered?
