In a divoce case under Hindu Law wife filed an application for maintenance for 19 yr old unmarried sane daughter and court granted both even when child was not the party to the case. Now question is, whether wife entitled to represent the daughter without her consent and whether court is entitled to grant maintenance to major unmarried sane daughter even when she was not party to the case. Under Hindu law umarried daughter can claim maintenace but can she join mother in divorce case?
