Divorce case

Dear experts,

Facts are as follows......

1. Wife and myself belong to respectable families and are both professionally qualified.

2. Both are currently working.

3. Own a house in Delhi (joint name) and a bit of land in Haryana (joint name).

4. I pay my wife a resonable amount every month for household expenses......all other expenses such as utilities, repairs, school fees are paid by me directly.

5. We have 2 children aged 14 and 10.

6. She has savings in other places of which I have no clear details.

7. I wish to get a divorce from her after 16 years of marraige.....I just dont see it working any more.

My questions are.....

1. How does the immovable property get divided between us.?

2. Since she is also earning do I have to bear the maintenance.......if so, how much.?

3. Will she have a right in my parents property?

4. Do I have a right in her parents property?

These are just initial questions and more will follow as we start discussions.

Regards
