This is the stage where admissions and submission are made on the basis of which the suit goes, so be careful.

Right now you need a good lawyer who can file an apt reply for that legal notice and a written statement for 125 petition.

And yes, don't worry. An allegation made is not equal to an allegation proved

It seems from the above that your wife is going to file false 498 A . Than you can seek anticapitory bail for the same .

you have 2 options for that legal notice

1. Use it as toilet paper or

2. File  FIR stating that Jewellery has been stolen from your house automatically unleash the police to do their duty as they are being paid their salaries by the government . Hence she would be called and investigation would start .:-) . Every person is seasoned in his field . Let the cops prove their metal of solving the case .

3. Now in this case of chor police who would be the chor :-)

I hope so you are aware of Newtons third law of motion " For every action there is a equal and opposite reaction "

" 498 A "

Consult a lawyer and see what he has to say and a FIR can be filed at any time . My suggestion may not go well with your lawyers suggestion as he is the one who is going to contest your case he may probally have another solution to your problem .Else tommorrow you come back here and state i followed your advise and now see what has happened .
