Family pension

My father was a central government employee from 1973 onwards, he passed away at the age of 56 while still in service on 2006. Thereafter, my mother was recieveing the family pension till she passed away at the age of 54 on September,2010. I am their 24 year old unmarried daughter and currently a student at a reputed B School.

The family pension papers r currently being processed by the office, as per the ammendment by 6th pay commission from 2007, the age limit for recieving the pension has been removed and no longer remains as 25.

But i recieved a letter from the office, stating i would recieve the pension from September,2010 to Aug ,2011 till the date i become 25.

Kindly suggest.

When you have received the letter from the office, contact the concerned person and make an enquiry about the famly pension that you would get.
