Steps to be taken to get implemented the order of the central information commission

In second appeal in case no CIC/LICOI/A/2018/611292-BJ, the Central Information Commissioner made under mentioned order on 27th June, 2019 in Ravi Agrawal vs Life Insurance Corporation: "Keeping in view the facts of the case and the submissions made by both the parties and in the light of criticality and sensitivity of the subject matter, the Commission directs the Respondent Public Authority to take cognizance of the judgment passed by the Apex Court in Writ Petition (Civil) No. 1107 of 2017 dated January 03, 2019 and initiate suitable necessary action accordingly." As per section 19(7) of RTI Act, 2005 the decision of the Central Information Commission shall be binding, but no action has been taken by the respondent. What steps can be taken to get implemented the order of the CIC.

Complaint on Non compliance of CIC decision No.....................................dt.........................

The appellant submits that CPIO has failed to implement CIC decision and was negligent in performing his statutory obligations. Appellant brings the violation and insubordination of reasonable orders of a superior authority namely CIC on record and requests for suitable directions to CPIO for implementing CIC decision as expeditiously as possible and within 30-8-2019, failing which the non compliance has to be reported to CIC for suitable action against CPIO.

The appellant herein reports non-compliance by CPIO of the above orders by CIC. The matter was brought to the attention of FAA, LIC of India on............................and FAA failed to initiate action against CPIO and not shown any interest in directing CPIO for providing of the information. The copy of the notice issued to FAA is pasted on the back of this complaint with service proof. The appellant prays for taking the non-compliance as serious, deliberate and malafide denial and insubordination and negligence towards statutory obligations and also prays for imposing penalty, a recommendation for disciplinary action and for providing token compensation of Rs5,000/- for harassment of appellant/citizen by CPIO. Appellant.
