A plaint is presented by a Complainant/ Plaintiff it signifies initiation of a Civil Suit. A plaint once accepted becomes Suit. The opposite party is then allowed to respond to the plaint vide a written statement (WS). As per Ordr 8 Rule 1 WS is to be filed within 30 days and the time period is extendable to 90 days.
