Family court contested divorce nri

It has come to a point that I can no longer be in the marriage. The girl is in India and I am employed by a US employer. I have a GPA holder in India but am not sure if he can be cross examined on my behalf.

We are still in the process of submitting a petition to the family court.

In case the divorce is contested:

Can I plea on that basis that I am emplyed by a US employer and that it is not feasible for me to travel frequently for cross examination

This was held by the Calcutta High court that the petitioner can plea by means of video conferencing. Does family court abide by this? It would really cause not only extreme economic hardship but would also cause my job to be in jeopardy and prevent me from earning a livelihood.

1. Yes it can be allowed.
2. Read my detailed post on Video Conferencing placed some months back for more similar citations including Hon'ble SC and prepare your local advocate accordingly to get same allowed.
