Dvc case respondent getting copies for first time

Dear Sir/Mam,

For a new Private DVC case under Sec 18 in Andhra Pradesh, can the Respondent's Advocate receive the Copies by filing Vakalat for the first time instead of Aged Respondent travelling 300 kms for  appearing before the Hon'ble Court.

Or Court will insist on physical appearance of Respondent no matter what to receive first Copies. Please reply.

Thank & Regards

Vijay

If the court has idirected in order for personal appearance then that has to be implemented unless you show any concrete evidence for absence.

But if there is no order to that extent then the counsel can submit POA (Vakalatnama) and receive the copies and if asked for the defendant he can  give reason for being elderly and no in position to travel. Just counsel should be present that is important.
