Cross Examination is the forte of the defendant to bring our the truth of the case. Relevant questions means the questions relating to the main complaint/plaint generally. However, other questions which are put to bring out the truth are also allowed. Here leading questions can be asked. Leading questions means direct questions or you may call it accusations to bring out the truth. Even some uncomfortable questions which may tarnish the image of the complainant/plaintiff can also be asked to some extent. Cross examination is an art and the examiner should know what to ask and what not to. During cross documentary evidence can be proved or more documentary evidence can be produced.
