Cross-exam

I have a recovery suit against my brother-in-law for return of my money and a 498a running in parallel. In my cross*xam in the recovery suit, they are asking me a lot of questions pertaining to the 498a suit. I don't want to reveal the evidence I have now itself so that I can file perjury ,etc. Can I legally avoid answering unrelated questions that are only tangentially related to the recovery matter?
