Correction in area of residential land

Dear Sir,

I have purchased a residential plot in Bihar. As per previous sale deed and mutation documents and in other papers, the area of the entire plot was 3045 sq ft. I have purchased entire plot. At the time of registry the area and boundaries was given as per previous sale deed.

When, I went to take possession of the land the plot is measured with the survey/village map. The surveyor (Amin) has calculated the area of the plot about 3600sq ft. as per the map and given boundaries in the sale deed i.e. there is some surplus land. The measurement of adjacent plot is also intact. I have taken possession of the plot as per the survey map and boundaries as given in the sale deed.

How this error will get be rectified in my records? I want actual area (including surplus land) in my papers like mutation and others, as, if there was any short in area I had to bear, thus in this case if there is surplus, naturally I should be benefitted. Pl. suggest me.

Thanking you in anticipation of reply.
