Minor error in registered deed

Hi,

We purchased a property and Registration was done. However, we noticed lately that the DD numbers mentioned in the document has a small correction to be made. How do we get this corrected? Or can we leave it as it is ?

Thank you

Sushma Reddy

Rectify it with  correction and register it .

No. It requires rectification.  Request your seller to correct the DD numbers through a rectification deed for the registered sale deed.

If the DD had been honored and there is no problem in this regard from the vendor side, then it should not be a problem

There is no necessity to reopen this subject either by a rectification deed or by any other mdoe.

Just ignore it and remain safe, this is not going to alter the schedule of property nor will it make any difference to the conditions or title to the property.

The sale consideration amount has been acknowledged by the vendor, hence you can ignore it and remain peacfeful

Since sale deed is already registered and title as well as possession stands correctly transferred in your name and vendor do not have any objection qua number of DD mentioned therein the document, which is registered with concerned SR, there is no need for any further action.
