passport renewal after loc

hi, my wife filed 498a on me and my family and after the chargesheet was filed they issued loc on me.
am in uae now and need to renew my passport, can someone please advise if their will be a problem in renewing my passport ?? if yes then what can be done in this situation.

For renewal of passport the police clearance certificate is essential.

If there is a criminal case pending against you then the police will submit an adverse report.

Hence you may have to disclose the pending case status in your applicaiton for reissue of passport after which the passport authorities will direct you to obtain permission from concerned court to renew your passport.

You cannot get police verification and your passport will not be renewed.

Embassy people never renew your passport since An LOC is issued to make sure that an individual who is absconding or wanted by law enforcement agencies is not able to leave the country. It is mostly used at immigration checkpoints at international airports and seaports by the immigration branch.
