Is this like bribe?

Respected Lawyers.

I am parking this question under general practice. Our society has gone for redevelopment. The new building is to be 11 storied and there’s intense fight to grab floors 9 and above. Some members are saying that they will pay some money to others to give up their demand for high floors, so that there are not many asking for same thing. Is this practice legally correct?  I also want say 11 floor, so if I take money  from other member to give up my interest on 11 th floor, is it not like accepting bribe?

No it wont be construed with bribe as this is simply a relinquishment from the run against consideration.

Demanding due consideration as per demand and for individual profit is not a bribe.
