Apparently the issue may appear as one or two words and for the detailed response with earlier findings and citations even a book of hundred pages may not be sufficient. This forum is just a FIrst Aid Center to guide you ultimately to an expert.
Please search in google with keywords "Vicarious liability" and you can find hundreds of actual cases and findings by Hon'ble judges. In simple words vicarious liability means the employer's responsibility for his employee's action. Ex: A vehicle owner engaged a driver, that driver drove negligently without a license in one way and killed two persons riding on a motorcycle. Then who should accept responsibility and offer compensation to those killed in the accident ? Naturally the employer, the extent of employer's liability for his worker's actions exemptions etc., make interesting reading. Try to search and learn.

Vicarious Liability in India. Generally, a person is liable for his own wrongful acts and one does not incur any liability for the acts done by others. In certain cases, however, vicarious liability, that is the liability of one person for the act of another person, may arise.
