i am a married woman having shares in unmarried name.They were invested in by my elder brother with fathers money. Now he wants me to transfer those shares to him. I have signed transfer papers but he now wants me to sign a gift deed. Is gift deed necessary? Can't the shares be transferred without it. Can the transfer of shares be without consideration and can i be forced to sign a gift deed?

Sign on transfer forms to transfer the shares is more than sufficient.
