consent terms not complied in DV case

wife filed 498a case with police station against husband and his family members.

Husband and his family members obtained Anticipatory bail in 498a case and the same was pending investigation.

wife also filed DV application in JMFC court against her husband and his family members. Husband appeared in the matter and the matter was referred to mediation.

In the mediation proceeding, husband showed his rediness to take the wife back to matrimonial home subject, however, to the condition that she withdrew the 498a case and DV case, and only after withdrawal of the same, he shall take her. The wife agreed to it and accordingly consent terms came to be filed.

Accordigly, wife withdrew both the cases, but the husband is now avoiding to take her back on one pretext or the other.

Is the husband liable for contempt of court?

what is the best possible remedy available to a wife?
