Cancelling marriage regisration

Dear Sir , My son has been granted divorce on mutual consent basis and we have received the court order on 13th Aug 2014. As the marriage was registered immediately after marriage is it necessary that we have to file an application in the marriage registration office to inform them that divorce has been granted and to cancel the registration or is there any other procedure.

Why are you in such a hurry. wait and see whether his divorced wife is appealing against the judgment.

Sir, Is there any time limit for appealing.

Cancelling the marriage certificate is not necessary as soon as the divorce is granted the marriage certificate looses its validity. Wait for 90 days from the date of order and see whether they files appeal or revision in this case.
