Whether profession tax registration required in one state if payment made to employee in another state?

A person registered in Maharashtra Profession Tax Act but executing work in Kerala but payment made from Maharashtra to employee at Kerala, and the employer doesn't have fixed establishment at Kerala, so, Whether Profession Tax Registration Required in Maharashtra or in Kerala?
