Should i create special power of attorney?

JUST execute a leave amd license agreement with notional rent , and one that is valid for period of 11 months. A special power of attorney is another alternative but you have to stipulate there in that it shall lapse automatically after 11 months by mentioning the precise dates. Former option  better ensures a right of  possession wtihout creating interest in property

Pradeep, thanks for your advise. Do we have any sample format? Also should this Leave and license Agreement be on a stamp paper OR just A4 with notarization in US would do?

Since I am currently in USA, I can put this Leave and License Agreement on a A4 and get it notarized.

I think that should suffice. I must disclose that I am a dcotor and not a lawyer. It was better if some legal expert on the forum had given his approval for the same.

As per Pradeep's advise, I did check the Leave and License Agreement. But point to note here is, I want to be still the main person staying in my house, and may occupy the house whenever I come to India. My in-laws will be accessing my house in absence but with my permission.

Would a mere notarized letter work in this case ? 

My in-laws should not get threatened if my brother creates issue. But rather produce this letter and continue to stay in my house without fear.

In both instances u r on terra firma. I thought your in laws are well disposed so a leave and licence can be created so that they can enter the premsies ad lib without any hassles. They would be havign a legit document to enter and stay in property whenever they want to and this document  can be created with validity of 11 months as desiored by u. Even in most unlikely event of your in laws truning agianst your interest , their right to occupy the property shall automatically extinguish after 11 months. But if you  have  even an iota of reason   to play safer , u can execute specific power of attorney also but u have  to word it carefully if you want it to lapse after 11 months and the domain of grantee should be carefully delienated . Please , read above advise with caveat that I am not professional expert in this regard and whatever has transpired between us, is tentative until it is   ratified by a legal expert.
