In Mumbai the old buildings are demolished and new one constructed. This redevelopment can be done involving a builder or without involving a builder (Self Development). A co-operative housing soicety can develop its property without involving a bulder, which is known as Self Development. I would like to know if the stipulation that 75% of the members should agree to this as mentioned in the directiveof 3.01.2009 is applicable or a mere 51% (Simple majority) will do to proceed. The appointment of PMC and contractors for demolishing the old structure and building the new structure will be done by the General Body later on. I would like the learned members to advise me on this.
