Right on fathers inherited property

Hi,

My Father and his sister inherited property from their father (my grand father). They are planning to sell that property. My father has not stayed with me (son) and my mother  for the last 25 years and has not taken any family resposibilites.

My parents are not divorced.

Is there any way that me or my mother can claim share or amount on that property after or before selling.

Please suggest.

since divorce has not taken, you are all legal heirs of him. ancestral property share cannot share as long as father alive.
