Remarriage in divorce cases/ 498a cases.

Can a man seek a new alliance for marriage when his divorce case is pending in court? Is it an offense just to search for a new partner when the case is still in court? (not getting married - only if he is searching). Can the opposite party cause problems if they come to know?

Dear Querist

searching the new partner is not an offence and the opposite party has no right to do against you.

You may search anything that is not a crime.

However, don't marry before you get divorce.

Searching for a partner can affect your divorce case, depending upon who has filed the case and on what grounds.

Thanks for the thanks. If there is an element of desertion, or denial of love, s*x, and affection in the cruelty that has been committed by your wife, then you may make a profile on any decent site, taking care to protect your anonymity, and making sure that you reveal your marital status to anyone who asks, or even to anyone who doesn't ask but spends time and energy on corresponding with you.
