Rectification of error in the original sale deed

If the person from whom you have purchased the flat is available to sign the rectification deed, it is possible. Otherwise, Secretary/Chairman of the society can sign such deed and give evidence that the flat which was sold and purchased in 1998 is having flat no. such and such for which they have received transfer fees.
