Dear Sir,
I have booked a 2BHK flat in Dombivali - (E) on 27th Dec 2010. Till this date the construction is in initial plinth stage. I have paid all the necessary amount as per builders letters. Accordingly stamp duty DD of about 2 lakhs from SBI was sent to the builder, the DD was franked on 20th April 2011. At that time I was out of India and was not able to do the registration on the date fixed by the builder.
Now I am back in India and want to do the registration of my flat, but the builder is not fixing the registration date and wants a new DD. You are requested to advice.
- Whether I can register on the same DD?
- Whether I can get the refund of the DD amount?
- What is the procedure for refund & from which office?
Thanks & Regards,
Ashutosh Mestha
