Property right of grandchild in maternal home

The Hindu Succession (Amendment) Act, 2005 grants equal property right to females. So even if a woman chooses not to demand that share, can her son inherit her share of property ? If the son is a minor can the father approch the court as his guardian ?

As per Hindu Succession (Amended) act, 2005, this right extinguishes with the women who is entitled to such share. If she exercises her option to forego/relinquish her right for such a share, her son or her husband have no business to claim anything on her behalf or as their own right in the ancestral property to which she alone has right and interest.
