Perjury u/s 340

Defendant filed a reply for suit On last page he has signed and verified Date writen and place Ahmedabad Though he was not in india from years and we know that he has not signed some one else has done his signature for sure Can we file aplication u/s 340

Yes you can move an application u/s 340 Cr. P. C.. Its a very serious matter, Court will certainly order for inquiry.

Section 340 of The Criminal Procedure Code is not attracted. If you give details of the matter, I can select for you a suitable Section of The Indian Penal Code.
