Path access for an agri land, village in south tamilnadu

Respected Experts,

I would request you to help me to have the possible information on below situation.

We have a hectare of dry agriculture land in a village in South Tamilnadu since 1960’s, which does not have any dedicated path access.

  • North side of the said land had been spilt into unapproved plots (in a single row) by the third-party owner and there are few buildings and few vacant sites, having road access from the main road.
  • South and West sides of the said land are still in Agri usage and those are also not having any path access and owned by different individuals.
  • East side of our land is a 1.5 acres of Agri land and which is in parallel of the main road and approximately 100ft widdth between the road and our land.

We used to access the east side land and north side land (plots since late 2000) to reach our land. Recent days we face issues on using these properties and the situation is we are locked from daily access for agri activities, also getting cornered to convert it as residential plots.

Is there a solution by law to have a path access? If so, what is the process?

P.S. Attached the google map view of the land.

Thank you in advance!
