Hello Sir,
I have a query regarding OBC - creamylayer status. I have recently resigned from a Public Sector Bank from the post of Branch Manager (MMG Scale -II). My father is a farmer and landholding is appx 3 acres and mother is an housewife. No other person in my family is employed or having any kind of business.
Kindly guide whether now onwards I will be able to claim OBC - noncreamylayer styatus for me in government jobs.

Each state has its own rules and regulations on issue of such certificates. Any person who require such certificates must file application to Tehasildar in prescribed format and provide all such documents required like photo identity, address proof, income proof and affidavit if required. The Tehasildar may either issue such certificate or reject applications stating reasons for such rejection. Unless a person applies for such certificate, he will not receive such certificate. Eligibility has to be seen convincingly by Tehasildar as per documents.
