I have recently purchased a new house. All payment formalities were completed by 15th March as committed.
My Seller has asked for an extension of 15-20 days as there was some renovation work going on at his existing house.
On humanitarian grounds, I agreed to providing him an extension of 10 days upto 25th March on condition that any extension beyond 25th March, he will have to bear half month's EMI as my home loans have already started.
I have told him to vacate in 10 days time as I also intend to carry out renovations in the house before house warming ceremony scheduled on 14th April.
Is there anything wrong/illegal in me asking for half month's EMI incase he doesn't vacate by 25th March?
Pls advise urgently.
