THE MATERNITY BENEFIT ACT, 1961:
“A woman suffering from illness arising out of pregnancy delivery, premature birth of child or miscarriage shall be entitled, in addition to the period of absence allowed to her under the provisions of the Act, to leave with wages at the rate of maternity benefit for a maximum period of one month. {Section 10}
“
The Lady may approach her establishment or employees union for accessing leave rules and Bank’s leave policy.
The staff of the CBS branches is given log in id and password protected access to HR pages containing leave rules etc.
The employees union maintains all rules on its website.
It is felt that Bank’ staff has been agitating to grant CCL on the pattern of CCL granted to Govt. Employees.
The PNB has a policy on granting Sebatical Leave to women Employees.
