We have sold our piece of land using an agreement mentioning the amount we are receiving and subsequently gave the power of attorney to builder to sell the land to a third party . The builder called us and and questioning the validity of registry as he is saying that some safety tank is there and asking us to give the money back . Wanted to understand the legal validity of sale we did and what action we should take to avoid hassles

It is required by you to issue a prior notice to the buyer stating the reasons for cancellation of AGreement of Sale and then approach the Hon'ble Court of your jurisdiction to cancel the agreement of Sale in case, the buyer not accepting to execute a cancellation of Agreement of Sale.
