My family hails from Vizag. For employment we have shifted our stay during 1999 to Hyd. I lost my father in 2001 in Hyderabad. I have completed his funeral in Hindu Burial ground. I have obtained the burial ground slip's Xerox copy - original lost somewhere. After my father's demise we have shifted back to Vizag and did not apply for the death certificate. We stayed in a rented house when my father expired.

I tried now and not able to get the death certificate - the authorities are asking the original burial ground's slip - I dont have it. Is there any possibility of obtaining the legal heir without the death certificate? I have my father's old ration card - which mentions all our names. The last address the ration card bears is the rented house where we all stayed.
