Land procurement

Hi Lawyers,

I am basically from Bengaluru. I am planning to invest in HMDA (Hyderabad Municipal Development Authority) Land. Please answer following queries at the earliest :

  1. Can a person residing in one domicile invest in other domicile land ? What are the procedures ?
  2. What points are to be kept in mind at the time of purchase after the lake encroachment incidents took place w.r.t BDA lands in Bengaluru ?
  3. How to ensure that land value is progressing well ?
  4. How to check genuinity of land ? Will I be able to ask for any information under RTI (AP) act ? If so what queries to be asked ?
  5. What is the risk level with respect to Telangana And AP battle ?
  6. Any other factors which needs to be checked ?

You can never be sure of anything till you do some research and talk to atleast 2 to 3 buyers (identified from your own research - not the ones introduced by the seller). Then obtain independent legal opinion after completing your own checks.
