Gift Deed and General Power of Attorney

If a woman executes a general power of attorney with regard to a specific property in favour of her son (and the son has no knowledge of the same), and later on after a few years the same women by way of gift deed gives the same property to her daughter. Will the gift deed of property be valid ?
