Filing defamation case against wife

My wife filed 498A / 406 against me and my parents (mother and father)

In the Final Report of FIR my parents (Mother and Father) names were removed as "not accussed".

Later in the court my filed an application U/s 319 against them; requesting court to summon my parents also.

The Court Dismissed her application.

Can my parents now file a case of Defamation against her.

I appreciate the fact that your wife may be making all these allegations against your mother and father. the fact that the court dismissed her application and the police dropped the information given in the FIR, does not mean that these things are not happening. The fact seems to be that she does not have the evidence. It is also possible that she is making all this up. It appears that you have accepted the allegations that she has made against you but not prepared to except any further allegations against your mother and father. To answer the question whether you should file a defamation case? The answer is yes, If you have some form of evidence.
